Fin de una mala racha y primer descenso confirmado. Partido competitivo de inicio a fin, donde los visitantes gozaron de mejor acierto y defensa que los locales quienes una vez más no reflejaron su buen partido en el marcador. El Almería, como ha sido habitual, generó más ocasiones, insistiendo a más no poder, llegada tras llegada, más sabiendo la situación en que se encontraba. Hacer menos disparos no le impidió al Getafe ser más efectivo (tres goles en cinco tiros al arco), la defensa volvió a estar sensacional y Greenwood volvió a vestirse de héroe, el equipo retomó su mejor versión para lograr su décima victoria del curso, superando su marca de puntos de la temporada pasada (hizo 42 en la 2022/23, el cambio es bastante flipante), acabando con su nefasta racha sin ganar de visitante (su primera y única victoria de visitante en toda la temporada había sido el 16 de diciembre del 2023 tras vencer 0-3 al Sevilla), y está a cinco puntos de la plaza de Conference League! Mientras que el Almería firmó su derrota 21 de la temporada, y hoy, ha sentenciado su destino de la manera más gris. Indálicos, domingo 5 de mayo, toca viajar a Madrid, para jugar en Vallecas ante el Rayo, equipo muy cerca de la permanencia, está en su mejor momento de la temporada, pues lleva cuatro juegos sin conocer la derrota (dos triunfos y dos empates) y en los cuales sólo recibió un gol. Azulones, próximo viernes, viene al Coliseum el Athletic, el nuevo Campeón de la Copa del Rey, la segunda mejor defensiva del certamen, veremos cómo llega anímicamente para este partido, ya que llega con cuatro jornadas sin ganar, aferrado a seguir en la lucha por la Liga de Campeones. P.D. Con esta derrota, con sólo 15 puntos en juego y a 17 de la salvación, el Almería oficialmente ha perdido su lugar en Primera División. Ha sido una temporada muy difícil de digerir, tras no mostrar un buen nivel al inicio, Moreno fue sustituido, llegó Garitano y el equipo comenzó a mejorar a pasos grandes, sin embargo, la tan esperada primera victoria nunca llegó, por lo que la directiva decidió cambiar nuevamente los planes trayendo a Pepe Mel, si bien con él se logró la primera victoria de la temporada, el plantel siguió sin mejorar su puntería, porque Almería realmente ha hecho muy buenos partidos a lo largo del curso, y se ve reflejado en las estadísticas (como en los partidos contra Atlético, Valencia, Athletic, Girona, Betis, Mallorca, Sevilla, Granada, Alavés, Villarreal, hoy contra Getafe...), pero tristemente si no metes el balón al arco no sirve de nada. La cantidad de puntos perdidos por la falta de definición es flipante, si mencionar el frágil nivel defensivo mostrado en varios partidos, sobretodo de visitante. Es así como la escuadra indálica volverá a jugar en Segunda División después de sólo dos temporadas en la élite del fútbol español. Mucha fuerza, espero que podáis encontrar la forma de superar este durísimo golpe, y de poder armar un proyecto sólido para volver a Primera lo más pronto posible. Un abrazo desde México!! 🙏🏼🇲🇽🤍❤️

@user-qh1lp7bi2y Unfortunately, the "evidence" in question wasn't hours and hours of soft-focus handholding... regardless of the strength, it was evidence of an unsavoury character. These days, you can only be a hero or a villain, and Mason doesn't quite match up to what passes as a hero,in the eyes of a significant percentage of people that matter. I'd like to see him given the choice, as he'll be the one dealing with most of the consequences after all.
