Technically not wrong decision in terms of the rules to retake the penalty, but that is very harsh refereeing from Lahoz again that wants to be in the spotlight as usual. Then it’s dozens of penalties that should of been retaken throughout the football history if you follow that line

Blah blah blah. It's the correct application of the rule. True, it's harsh, but guess what? With VAR, any rule break that changes the game will be examined. Players have to learn to be smarter....

Empate agridulce. Reparto de puntos en un juego donde ambos arqueros fueron los que terminaron por destacar más. La primera parte estuvo "igualada" en cierto sentido, ambos equipos tiraron casi la misma cantidad de veces, pero el Celta aprovechó su único tiro al arco para adelantarse. La intensidad del juego subió notablemente en la segunda parte, el Girona pudo tener ocasiones más peligrosas, los locales también tuvieron lo suyo, sin embargo, los visitantes no conseguirían anotar hasta por medio de la vía penal, y a partir de ahí, ocasiones fallidas para ambos, Villar y Gazzaniga impidieron que alguno ganara. El punto no le viene bien a ninguno, pues el Celta prolonga más su racha negativa sin ganar a 5 juegos, y deberá esperar un poco más para sellar su permanencia, mientras que el Girona liga 3 partidos sin conocer la victoria, y se pierde la chance de entrar de nuevo a la séptima plaza de Conference League. Celestes, próximo domingo, hay que ir a Andalucía, para jugar en el Nuevo Mirandilla contra el Cádiz, rival directo por la salvación, uno de los clubes menos ofensivos de la Liga (apenas 28 goles marcados), pero ha mostrado en muchas ocasiones ser un equipo muy sólido en defensa, más de local. Blanc-i-Vermells, mismo día, viene a Montilivi el Betis, equipo consolidado en los 6 primeros a lo largo de toda la temporada, ha venido jugando muy bien defensivamente, y busca asegurar de una vez por todas su boleto a la Europa League del siguiente ciclo.
