Victoria heróica. Partido muy disputado donde los visitantes pese a la mejora cayeron ante un equipo local que sigue consolidando su casa. El Girona arrancó dominante, generando sin parar, sin embargo, al filo del descanso el Betis aprovechó un grave error de la defensa local para empatar. El segundo tiempo estuvo más intenso, tanto los locales como los visitantes generaron y el empate no se rompía; todo estaba listo para que ambos dividieran puntos, pero en el descuento, los locales en una jugada muy creativa engañaron totalmente a los visitantes, otra vez Stuani hizo se las suyas para marcar y brindarle al Girona su vigésima victoria de la temporada y su duodécimo triunfo de local, el equipo sigue con su altísimo rendimiento en casa (ha jugado 15 jornadas en Montilivi y sólo perdió en una), y la clasificación a la Liga de Campeones está más cerca. Mientras que el Betis pese al buen partido no levanta el rumbo, encadena su cuarta derrota al hilo, el nivel defensivo es preocupante, ahora está a siete puntos de los puestos europeos y ésto puede que ponga en peligro el lugar de Pellegrini.
